Welcome to Our Photo Gallery

Navigating the Gallery:

The Gallery can have more than one page, and the navigation links aren't always immediately apparent. Each gallery page will display up to 9 thumbnails.

When you enter the gallery you will be at the Root Album of the gallery and you will be shown a thumbnail for each year where there are event images.  Opening a year will reveal the thumbnails of event albums. Several of the years have more than 9 sub-albums and will display on more than one page. Opening an event album will display thumbnails of the event's images.

At the bottom of each page there will be a page number and, at the top and bottom (left and right), the links that will move you forward or backward through the gallery pages.

If you click on the thumbnail of an image you will bring up a full size presentation of the image. In the menu at left there is a slideshow menu item.  The slideshow is set for a 5 second delay, but you can change the delay if you wish.

Visitors:

If you would like to browse our gallery we are very glad you dropped in. Perhaps what you see here will convince you to join us for the fun and fellowship that comes with these beautiful old cars.

MEMBERS of The Ontario MG 'T' Register

As a member of OMGTR you can have the capability of creating event albums and adding your images to those albums. If you know how to email images to your family and friends then you have the know-how to create albums on the Photo Gallery.

To get that capability you have to register an account in the photo gallery. Click on "Register" at the top right of the gallery pages. Pick a username and password that you will remember and provide your email address. You will receive an email when your account has been approved.

When your account is approved you will be able to login and add album(s) and images into the current year or any previous year. If the year that you want doesn't exist send an email to and I will create the year album. In the meantime create your album in the current year, let me know, and I will move it to the proper year. Be sure it's dated!

Adding an Album

First - choose the year. Click on (Open) the year into which you want to place your album. Click on the "Add Album" menu item in the left side menu. Give your album a unique Name, and a meaningful Title. Add a long Description if you wish. The description will show when the album is opened by a viewer. Scroll to the bottom and click on Create.

An "Edit Album" menu will open. Click on the "General" tab and scroll down to the album "Date and Time" and set the date. For multi-day events use the starting day. Set the time if appropriate. Scroll to the bottom and click Save.

Note that later you can change any of this with the Edit Album menu.

Adding Images to your new Album

Open your new album by clicking where it says "no thumbnail". Click on "Add a photo!". Click on the "From Web Browser" tab. A page will open offering you two File and Caption options.

Use the browse button and navigate to the image(s) you want to include. Ignore the Caption for now. There is a link that lets you get another File/Caption set and you can use it repeatedly to add as many files as you like. Probably best to do 6 to 10 at a time. Scroll to the bottom and click Add Items. Repeat the process until all your images have been added. I suggest that you limit your album to 36 to 45 images. I think that's all that most viewers will take the time to go through.

Then use the "Edit Captions" menu item and go through your images adding a meaningful Title, and a longer Description if you wish, to each one. Scroll to the bottom and click Save.

Finally (optionally) use the "Rearrange Items" menu to sort the images into a more coherent sequence. Click on an image, then click on the image that occupies the space where you want to put the the one you are moving. Everything will shuffle to make space, you are not replacing the second image. When all is as you like it scroll to the bottom and click Save.

Note that later you can change any of this using the appropriate menu items.
