BRITISH CAR DAY CANCELLED FOR 2021

The COVID-19 Pandemic continues to play havoc with plans to hold major events. Consequently, and with regret, the Toronto Triumph Club has made the very difficult decision to cancel British Car Day® scheduled for Sunday 19th September 2021.

This is not a step we have taken lightly and we’ve considered many options to allow BCD to go ahead in some form.  Despite improving COVID numbers we are still concerned with the safety of our volunteers, participants, vendors, sponsors and the local community.   While the medical experts predict that there is a slight chance of getting back to near normal by the end of September large gatherings of people will definitely be the last restriction to fall. Most other major shows have announced cancellations recently including The Ex (Canadian Exhibition), one of the biggest events in our region.

Please mark your calendars for Sunday 18th September 2022 for the 37th running of British Car Day®. It’s going to be huge!    We will be celebrating the 60th anniversaries of the MGB, Triumph Spitfire and Lotus Elan … and we’ll be playing catch-up on the anniversaries missed in 2020 and 2021.  We can’t wait to see you next year and in the meantime stay safe.

Objective

The Ontario MG T Register Inc., objective is to preserve and maintain pre-1956 MGs, and MGAs, and in doing so ensure these classic vehicles are keep road worthy and providing driving pleasure. A very important part of that pleasure comes from meeting other owners at register events, which are spaced throughout the year, but especially at those events during the spring, summer, and autumn seasons. Most members like to get out in their MGs and drive them; we are NOT a group that keep their cars unused in a hermetically sealed environment.
